Autumn Flower Show Judging Categories

Flowers and shrubs

  1. One bloom, truss or spike – not rose or dahlia
  2. A container of cut flowers, all one type, any number of stems.
  3. A container of flowers from tree, shrub or creeper all of one type – any number of stems, colour variation allowed
  4. A container of mixed flowers, any number of stems
  5. One single dahlia- any size
  6. One container of dahlias, any number of stems, variety and colour variation allowed
  7. One rose bloom – any classification
  8. One container of roses, any number of stems, variety and colour variation allowed
  9. One container of foliage any number of stems maximum size 75cm in any direction
  10. 3 floating fuchsia blooms single or mixed variety. May be staged in 3 single small containers or floating in a bowl.
  11. Floral design in a saucer
  12. Bits & pieces in a coffee mug

Potted Plants

  1. One potted plant/s no flowers, single type bench space allowed 50cm x 50cm
  2. One potted plant/s in flower single type maximum bench space allowed 50cm x 50cm
  3. One potted succulent or cactus one plant maximum bench space allowed 50cm x 50cm
  4. Collection of succulents and/or cacti – at least three varieties or types. Maximum container size 70cm x 70cm

Produce

  1. Exhibit of a type of vegetable or fruit on a plate g. one pumpkin, bunch of rhubarb, 3 zucchini, 1 melon, 5 feijoas, stems still attached. The number of items in the exhibit should be in proportion to the vegetable/fruit – smaller number for larger items
  2. Collection of produce that may be fruit, herbs, vegetables and/or nuts –at least three different types of produce. Maximum bench space allowed 75cm x 75cm.
